Swagat · The King's Road

In the tradition of the royal sarai.

For centuries the Grand Trunk Road — the Badshahi Sadak — has carried emperors, merchants and wedding processions across Hindustan. Along it stood sarais where every traveller was fed and sheltered like a guest of the court. At the fifth kilometre of Delhi Road, The Royal Residency keeps that promise: a royal welcome, a generous table and room to celebrate.

A stylised map of the Grand Trunk Road from Kabul through Lahore, Delhi and Aligarh to Kolkata. The Royal Residency stands at the 5th kilometre of Delhi Road in Aligarh.
